Hi all,
could somebody enlighten me about the use/support of my AHA1740
in ENHANCED mode with *BSD.
I've asked this one over and over again, but got never the final
answer (i.e. a solution).
My system: EISA w/ IDE (boot-partition) and SCSI (usr-part.) disk.
os is 386bsd-0.1 + pk-0.2.4
My problem: booting NetBSD (AHB-floppy) FreeBSD (AH-floppy) from
the respective installation floppy (1st disk) gives
the usual info about recognized devices.
The one that is never recognized is my AHA1740 con-
troller in ENHANCED mode and the devices attached to
it (disk, cdrom).
(in standard mode all goes well).
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?
Is anybody out there who has a configuration like mine working as
it should?
(The one thing that makes me wonder is that a Linux install floppy
recognizes this AHA1740 in enhanced mode + devices along with all
the other ones that also *BSD finds).
Bye,
Michael.
