Thanks I already made the mods to fvwm over here I just attributed
to a difference between Linux and NetBSD.

Has anyone using tk with fvwm having problems with tk application's
pull-down menus disappearing,  I guess to the background. 
tk's tear off menus seems to work.

I would be nice if this bug was fixed so I can dump ctwm and twm :-)
