Date: 19 Sep 1993 12:33:51 +0100 Organization: Wonderland, London, England Lines: 26 Message-ID: <27hg3d$288@alice.wonderland.org> NNTP-Posting-Host: wonderland.org I have a Twinhead Slimnote portable with a 64 level grey VGA LCD. I am currently using the XF86_Mono server, but would really like to use the "colour" server for greyscales. My questions are: has anyone got one ? The BIOS startup says CL-GD6410. Is it possible ? I guess the display may be 64 levels, but the electronics should be 8 planes deep ? I really don't know. I would have a go myself, but I have no documentation whatever and no experience to go and try to reverse engineer based on watching the firmware :-( I have tries, BTW, the other cirris drivers and all I get is "cannot read VGA bios" or something very like that. PS I still am having problems with my ET4000 based boxed if anyone can lend a hand...
