Date: 24 Sep 1993 17:36:25 -0500 Organization: The University of Texas - Austin Lines: 18 Message-ID: <27vsp9$a2n@sylvester.cc.utexas.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: sylvester.cc.utexas.edu Hey, I just got NetBSD-0.9 - IMHO it is a little buggy, slip hangs up about once or twice a day (maybe not their fault), and sometimes the system hangs hard - about 1-2x a day. 386BSD-0.1 + pk0.2.3 was more reliable. But in any case, I tried getting that XFree86-1.3u1 from sun-lamp and I tried to run it with my old 1.3 config file, and it hung the machine after resynchronizing the screen at a higher resolution. To make a long story short, does teh Xconfig have to be changed, or should I be using another version of X? I am going to try to run XFree-1.3 for 386BSD-0.1 when I get a spare minute, I just thought I'd try parallel paths to save time. Thanks. -- Protect our endangered bandwidth - reply by email.
