Yes, unless the 386BSD binary used the dbm code, in which case you'll have to recompile it. Sorry, but the old dbm code was broken in a lot of ways and the new version wasn't format compatable with the old. Sigh. In particular, I wish to install XFree86 1.3 on FreeBSD. Where can I ftp from? Can I just take the binary distribution of XFree86 for 386 BSD ? Better to get the FreeBSD distribution from freebsd.cdrom.com - things like xdm and the server use dbm and need to be updated.
