I believe that the problem is with AutoRaise. If you pop-up a menu within 750 msec of setting the keyboard input focus to that window, then the window auto-raises itself, and the pop-up menu disappears. For now, just remove the line AutoRaise 750 from your .fvwmrc or system.fvwmrc file. The next release of fvwm will have this problem fixed. Rob (nation@rocket.sanders.lockheed.com)
