However, as the instructions say, there was a bug in 386bsd magic # for scripts of sorts. This bug has rolled over to FreeBSD and I canot run my lpr/d properly. Does anyone know what the patches were for (I believe it is) /etc/magic to fix the magic # problem? Question #2: I installed FreeBSD on a friend system with the newest kernel and installation (fs) floppy. He chose to keep his DOS partition, but I have no idea how to mount it. E.g. even with mount_pcfs, I cannot seem to figure out which /dev/wd*** to use ... I feel sort of stupid not being able to get this, but help woul dbe appreciated. Its all on /dev/rwd0d with FreeBSD on partition 3 and DOS ( BIG > 32M ) on partition 0. post or e-mail responses .. either is find with me. thanx much.
