I've created a set of scripts to do this very thing.  If you wait just a teeny
bit longer, the EPSILON release should be out, and then you can install the
latest/greatest release, and you can look at my scripts to see how it's done.

Also, for GAMMA users, there will be a simple way (much simpler than the
386BSD->FreeBSD upgrade) to upgrade from GAMMA-EPSILON, and when the
final release is out there will be a way to go to the final release.

me some email and I can point you to the upgrade scripts.
