D'oh!
Just picked up a Bus Mouse Yesterday in the hopes that it
would free a serial port for other things, and am having
a few problems getting XFree86 to recognize it.
Running NetBSD 0.9, I recompiled the kernel with the following
line added in:
device mms0 at isa? port "IO_BMS1" tty irq 5 vector mmsintr
The recompile went fine, and during reboot, I received the
following message, which I took to be a good sign:
mms0 at 0x23c-0x23f irq 5 on isa
The card is configured exactly as that---The primary port
at port 0x23c, and on IRQ 5.
There was no mms0 entry in /dev/, so I created one, using
% cd /dev
% mknod mms0 c 35 0
where 35 is a number I obtained from file /sys/arch/i386/i386/conf.c.
Now, I added the line:
Microsoft "/dev/mms0"
To my Xconfig file.
However, XFree always complains that it can't get the
status of mouse fd (invalid argument).
Is the NetBSD mms driver compatible with XFree? What can I
do to get it working?
Merci.
Toodlepip!
