Last I heard, 386BSD only supported up to 9 drives, and 128 mounted (NFS or local) partitions. This might have changed in NetBSD, since we all know that NetBSD is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and I can't be bothered to look in the source tree. So chances are, you won't run hit this max.... TOodlepip!
