So, if someone would take the time to send me some replies to the following questions, I'd appreciate it. 1) Is it possible to have FreeBSD and Linux boot off the same system? Linux has LILO, along with a software package to boot off a particular disk partition. 2) Can I install FreeBSD onto a 320 mb scsi drive, and then start the system up off of a floppy? The floppy would then have the ability to pull in the scsi-based FreeBSD system. My current system has 2 esdi drives being used for Linux, along with a new 320 mb formatted scsi drive for experimentation (at this time). I'm using an adaptec 1542c controller card, along with an archive 525e tape drive and the scsi drive. I do have a telebit worldblazer attached via a 16550afn-based serial card. In my current Linux system I'm booting off of a floppy drive, and then having it use my /dev/hdb1 partition for all of the normal distribution. - bob
