Actually, it's even possible to boot FreeBSD with LILO directly.
Talk to imp@boulder.parcplace.com; he's managed to do it without too
much trouble (I've never really tried, myself, preferring to stick
with FreeBSD's supplied os-bs to switch between my FreeBSD/Linux/DOS
partitons).
