I followed everyones advice and went with NetBSD 0.9. The only problem I'm having is inbound TCP/IP traffic is hitting a major lag. If I try to telnet or FTP to the box I wait for about 20 seconds before I get a connect, after I get in everything works fine. I started out running on a 486/50 w/8mb using a 3c503 on the main net here. When that had the problems I moved the disk to a 386 w/8mb and 2 NE2000 off the main net, and still got the lag. I've tried letting the machine ifconfig itself and doing the ifconfig manualy... I'm sure it's something stupid I'm not doing, but I'm clueless...
