So is there a forthcoming version of BSD that will work on my IIsi?

Two things:

* There has not been a public release of NetBSD/mac (a.k.a. MacBSD)
yet.

* It does not yet run on the IIsi.

I don't know much about it. Try subscribing to the `macbsd-general'
list. Send mail to `majordomo@sun-lamp.cs.berkeley.edu' for more
information.
