Message-ID: <7OCT93.06592946@tifrvax.tifr.res.in> Sender: news@dxcern.cern.ch (USENET News System) Organization: MIT PLASMA FUSION CENTER Date: Thu, 7 Oct 1993 06:59:29 GMT Lines: 18 I have XFree86 up and running on my 486, NetBSD-0.9, and it works fine, but for the following two problems: 1)xconsole (or xterm -C) gives me the console (or term) with the following message on it `couldn't open console' 2)The delete on the xterminals behaves oddly: ^H erases and ^? deletes characters or vice versa depending on what i set as the erase. i.e. I cannot erase what i delete, on the other hand what i delete is not erased and is parsed as such and gives me errors. 3)Some times the xterminals just refuse to respond to the keyboard. Any new terminals called up too behave the same way and the only way out is to exit X. Please advice.. bhiksha bhiksha@tifrvax.tifr.res.in
