I connect to the server using cu, initialize the connection, then pause cu, and run the following: % slattach -s 19200 /dev/com1 % ifconfig sl0 netmask x.y.z broadcast a.b.c % route add default j.k.g And after this last command, I get this: writing to routing socket: network is unreachable add net default: gateway j.k.g: network is unreachable I have my /etc/hosts and my /etc/resolv.conf set up [apparently] properly, but I can't seem to get my machine to know where the gateway is (I guess that's obvious, from the error message). Can anyone give me a hand with this? Thanks alot, Colin. -- fox@binkley.cs.mcgill.ca Colin Bradley McGill University, Montreal "This is control, that was Kellogg's Raisin Bran....."
