Contrary to Nate's supposed facts, the executable format in NetBSD 0.8
was exactly the same as 386BSD 0.1.  The DB library was also so the
same.  In fact, NetBSD 0.8 was 100% binary compatible with 386BSD 0.1,
including allowing one to run buggy programs that overwrote the kernel
stack and other nasty things.  (I'm pretty sure FreeBSD still allows
that.)
