Message-ID: <1993Oct12.181000.23549@bradford.ac.uk> Lines: 25 Organization: University of Bradford, UK X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.1 PL9] Date: Tue, 12 Oct 1993 18:10:00 GMT Hello all, I am very new to the world of NetBSD. I have just yesterday managed to install it. I have encountered a few problems. I have a 386 machine with 2 hard disk controllers in it. The primary one is an ESDI controller which has a drive on it, and the secondary controller is ST21R Seagate with a built in BIOS. The hard disk attached to this controller is and RLL. This set up works quite well under MS-DOS. When the NetBSD booted up from the floppy. Every time the wdc0: line appeared it reports that it has "an extra interrupt". What does that mean? This gets reported whether I have the RLL controller in the machine or not. After having copied the Kernel into the machine NetBSD would not boot up whilst. Later on I discovered that if I removed the ST21R it would boot up. Mind you now I can't use the second hard disk. Is there any way to make it work? If not I would like to let the developers know about this problem. Lets see if it can be solved in future versions or is there a fix for this? I see everyone talking about fixes etc..etc.. Where are they available via FTP? Thanks, Mike Leizaola.
