Has this been answered before?

Trying to install (NetBSD-0.9) on ST506 disk, and it doesn't
recognize the tracks that are marked bad. I can use the old
Advanced Diagnostics IBM diskette I have, and the tracks are
really marked, but the install blithely tries to write on them.

The resulting hard error finishes the install much quicker than
I had planned. :-)
