Is anyone running NetBSD (0.8 or 0.9) with XS3 successfully?

What kernel do I use with NetBSD-0.9 and XS3-0.3exp?
I just upgraded to 0.9, and XS3 hangs with a blank screen. No messages
of any kind. Just before this, it complained about no /dev/vga, so I
created it with the
default MAKEDEV.

As far as I remember, even NetBSD-0.8 did not work with XS3. I had used
one of the 386BSD X-compatible kernels with NetBSD-0.8 and suffered
frequent X crashes.
At that time, I had a perfect config file, and everything worked (except
for the crashes) and my X directory is unchanged since then.

I know people will want to see my Xconfig, although it works, so here it is
