I want to use NetBSD on a very bare machine to act as a cheap gateway
router. I have a 386/33 8MB motherboard, NE2000 , Adaptec 1542 and a
16550 based async serial board. I do not want to use a keyboard, PC
framebuffer (cga/mga/ega), monitor, floppy. I have an extra 80MB SCSI
drive that should more than adequately hold a minimal UNIX config,
dp-2.3 + gated and enough room to throw log files to monitor the
gateway.

Can I config a kernel to use a UART port as the system console rather
than the usual PC keyboard/local display ?
