Hi,
using Nate's upgrade script I made a source upgrade from
my 386bsd to a FreeBSD system (I had to restart omitted
parts of the script because the script stopped 2 times due
to errors; Log file available if desired).
I even recompiled a working SYSCONS kernel with the correct
timezone info for me. So I may say the system worked...
However I was not able to successfully use uucico to connect
to my news feed.
Log follows:

The configuration files for uucp and sendmail are the same
as for the former 386bsd system.
I used stty -f /dev/sio00 -clocal (or was it clocal) w/o any
success.
Any clues?
Michael.
P.S. I'm back to 386bsd since it's the only way to access
news (for the moment I hope).
But I have a tared FreeBSD system waiting for me (much
as the 386bsd I'm using now - and luckily had ready,
just in case something went wrong, as it did).
