Don't know about the Exebyte's but I'm currently running an Archive
2150s (SCSI-1) no problems and I've run an Archive python (2GB dat) 
with, again, no problems (didn't run exaustive tests, just verified that
the tape I wrote on my SPARCII at work could be read, and wrote a tape
to read on the work system, both worked fine).  Unfortunately, I had to
give the tape drive back :-(.
