Could somebody >post/email the location of the actual drivers/code? The QIC-40/80 tape driver for *BSD is now available at ftp.gte.com in the ft directory. The latest revision is v0.2 pl01. I just upgraded (successfully!) to FreeBSD epslion, so patches for this release including a couple of bug fixes will be coming soon. I'll be dropping support for the old floppy driver, so it should be more painless to install. If you have doubts about the reliabilty of the QIC-80 drives (and/or the driver itself :-)), I installed the FreeBSD release plus XFree86 w/packages from a single uncompressed tape. Many thanks to John Galibrath for putting the tape together for me! - Steve2 steve2@genesis.nred.ma.us
