I got the newbootables.cgd off agate, made and installed the cksum (from the bsd tapes) on a SS2, and have the same cksum as the version I got... I then did: cmp dist.fs /dev/fd0 and got cmp: EOF on dist.fs I also tried fixit.fs without success. brian@ucsd:edu told me to try : dd if=dist.fs of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k which I did, with the same results...
