My CMOS clock is set to GMT, my timezone is 1 hour earlier and so I config'ed my kernel to -1 (note: w/o dst). /etc/localtime is /usr/share/zoneinfo/MET (I even erased /etc/localtime - but this was a BAD idea: uucp didn't work). Now the curious part: Invoking date gives me a time 2 hours to early (!) Invoking date -u makes a difference of 3 hours. (i.e. CMOS time is 16.00 h, date gives 15.00 h, date -u gives 14.00 h, correct time would be 17.00 h) Any help?
