IMHO, 386bsd 0.1 + pk 0.2.4 *is* more stable than FreeBSD (epsilon) and NetBSD 0.9 (not current). People discussing stability here have done slimy things like comparing Net and Free to 386 w/o patches, but when it comes right down to it, my 386bsd systems have Like who? I've never said that - the only time we suggest upgrading is if people are having *problems* with 386BSD, I certainly have never exhorted a *happy* 386BSD user to switch! Hell, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Just don't expect *us* to fix what we no longer run! BSDs as it is). Along this line, I find remarks by some of the devlopers to the effect that 'bugs/comments/etc. should be sent to the mailing lists, because we're to busy to keep up with the newgroups' to be completely lame. See above. What gives you the impression that we have all the *time* you have? I try to make an effort to read and reply to the groups (obviously) but it is certainly unfair to expect all of us to do so. Nate, in fact, usually takes care to forward relevant things to us on the mailing lists. You chose your medium of choice, just don't expect the mountain to come to you - you're not Mohammed by a long shot. Jordan -- (Jordan K.
