There is at MOST 1-200 lines of Amancio's code left. EVERYTHING was basically redone from scratch by Jon Tombs, with some latecomer additions from me and David Dawes. So in essence XF86_S3 is a completely new server. We acknowledge the derivation of our work - Amancio did most of the initial "figuring out" of how to get the S3 stuff working. But all the code is new; we did it ourselves. There is basically no reason whatsoever to use XS3 if XFree86 2.0 is installed. This may well change in the future, as I expect Amancio to get hi/truecolor support done well before we do. > > Terry Lambert > terry@cs.weber.edu >--- >Any opinions in this posting are my own and not those of my present >or previous employers. -- David Wexelblat <dwex@aib.com> (703) 430-9247 Fax: (703) 450-4560 AIB Software, Inc., 46030 Manekin Plaza, Suite 160, Dulles, VA 20166 Formerly Virtual Technologies, Inc.
