I just don't really like working under the XFree86 umbrella and
I did contribute all my work to XFree86. My mission at the
time was to provide workstation like performance in the
*bsd arena. XFree86 had other goals on mind, later on they
changed their mind. It is a bit long and complicated and
I don't care to drag it out.

One thing I wish to point, is that from the very beginning
Rich Murphy and I divided the X work for 386bsd. I step out
to provide XS3 and Rich stayed with the XFree86 as core team
member. So we pursued two avenues a more solid release XFree86
and XS3 not as stable as XFree86 but good enough as a proof of
concept. This approach kept XFree86 in check and the result
with the help from many netters is XFree86-2.0. Jon Tombs
did a ton of work in the S3 portion of the server and until
recently him and I corresponded. Currently, I am investigating
	other very exciting technologies.

Trust me some of the politics going on with XFree86 I really
hate;however, I found a vehicle to work with them.

And for the record, I am not supporting XFree86 nor do I run
XFree86 (so send e-mail to the XFree86 team when support is
required), I will merely repeat what I am saying here.

So Work Together and In Peace (it is an easier way)
