Actually, it's a lot easier than that.   Switch long distance
carriers, and then give AT&T a call and tell them why (or write them a
letter).   AT&T makes virtually *no* money on licensing compared to
what it makes on phone services.   A boycott of AT&T phone services
would probably be taken very seriously; you need only watch TV to see
how seriously.

Of course, it would take a lot of people complaining to make an
impression...
