I follow the discussion Linux vs. FreeBSD occured in this newsgroup. There are all the same arguments, not for the first time.... But an other question: - What are the differences between FreeBSD and NetBSD. - Why are the both teams don't melt together and put their whole energy in ONE BSD-system? - Is one of the systems dieing soon? I just install FreeBSD, and now I here about the shared libs in NetBSD, which I' missing a lot. - Is there soon an upgrade in FreeBSD to shared libs? Kind regards to both teams Lars ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lars Koeller E-Mail: uphya001@odie.Uni-Bielefeld.de Universitaet Bielefeld (Germany) uphya001@dave.HRZ.Uni-Bielefeld.de Fakultaet fuer Physik / D0-231 Phone: +49 521-106-5375 Universitaetsstr. 25 Fax: +49 521-106-6002 33615 Bielefeld Telex: 932 362
