Actually, hosted OS projects are quite common; several examples:

o	UNIX on MACH
o	OS/2 on MACH
o	NetWare on OS/2
o	NetWare on UNIX (NetWare for UNIX -- NWU)
o	DOS on MACH
o	DOS on UNIX
o	Windows on DOS
o	Windows on UNIX
o	Windows on OS/2
o	Windows on NT
o	Mac on DOS

etc., etc., etc.
