Then how come Chris just verbally donated the code to *YOUR* shared library implementation to BSDI a couple days ago, yet someone who distributes code on a stinking CD-ROM is a 'commercial effort' who shouldn't have access to *YOUR* code? (The *YOUR* is on purpose. Paul has made it clear that his code is freely available to anyone, and not just for NetBSD) > Oh, and yeah: tell me why you removed me? > >Because you are extremely caustic, and we don't trust you? Caustic? Hmm, I never heard it that way, but I think anyone who has seen your postings could say the same about you. >The only people making money off of our code is Walnut Creek, and >anyone they decide to send part of the proceeds to. No-one in FreeBSD (except for Rod in his job as integrator) makes a dime in FreeBSD from their work. I've turned down offers of money from folks just to keep it on the table. However, we all have real jobs, and real lives, so we don't get to spend 12+ hours/day working on FreeBSD, which fortunately/unfortunately many of the NetBSD folks 'get' to do. > Tell me... what have you been doing on your freefall account? > Somehow I can't believe you were checking in changes for > freebsd... > >Chris has in fact done exactly that, and I have donated changes to >FreeBSD also. Unlike Chris, those changes were from NetBSD and you offered them to FreeBSD afterwards. You don't happen to mention the recent work you've done in *obtaining* FreeBSD code. Here's a questions I'd like to pose. Do all the people who donate their code to NetBSD realize that the only way that the general public can see their code is after you've hacked and slashed it up? (And *possibly* introduced bugs to it. Naw, you never introduce bugs in it, do you?)
