slattach -a -h -s 19200 /dev/com0
ifconfig sl0 inet SLIPIP CISCOIP /* dunno which netmask you need */
route add SLIPIP localhost /* if this didn't get set itself */
route add default CISCOIP

This is a different matter. I don't know that you can do what he'd
like to be able to do. What is the -r option?

Bah. My machine is running slip just fine, but internal network hosts
aren't having their packets routed out over the slip line. How can I
tell if my kernel has been compiled with gateway on? I am running routed
with the -s option.
