Hi:

I've just installed FreeBSD 1.0 onto the following machine:

386/33 w/387
16Meg ram
AHA1542 w/ SCSI2 drive (Seagate)
CompuAdd HiRez vga card (et4000)
3c503 Etherlink II card

The install went fine and the OS just zips along great. I have this machine connected
to another 486 via the ethernet card (BNC). The 486 is running Solaris 2.1 x86.

I've noticed a problem when I telnet from the Solaris machine into the FreeBSD machine.
The problem is that once, I log in, if I ever press <ctrl-c> , the telnet session hangs on the FreeBSD
machine. Otherwise the telnet session works fine. Now, I've run my 486 this way and have telneted to
other OS's (SunOS, Solaris) just fine without any problems whatsoever. Its only when I
telnet to the FreeBSD machine that the above symptom appears. I have to escape back to my
486, quit telnet, then relogin to FreeBSD. At no time does this hang either FreeBSD or Solaris --
its just an annoyance.

Has anyone else seen this? Is this in a FAQ anywhere? My etherlink II card is recognized
fine by FreeBSD.

Any help would be appreciated. BTW, FreeBSD is quite a piece of work... Thanks!!
Cheers,

Doug
