Well, I was using NetBSD-0.8, I think that I got xcdplayer of
agate.berkeley.edu -- it is difficult for me to remember
exactly where I got it from because I go shopping world-wide :-)

At any rate I have an adaptec 1742c scsi controller

Currently, in the process of upgrading to NetBSD-current so I can
mail you my sources I wiped them out. I just have my old NetBSD
xcdplayer binary.

I did have some problems with my system but they were due to
cables. Also, before I dived into netbsd I checked out the drive
under DOS.

If you have any problems just e-mail me and we will sort them out.
