I've found, when installing the binarydist files from tape to hard disk that bad blocks were being detected. (this didn't show up on the install of the floppies). after running bad144 wd0, i came to find that no entries (everything set to zero) existed. bad144 -s wd0 does catch them all....however, I need someone to help me with interpreting the results of the bad144 -s and using bad144 then to install the bad blocks in the table. I didn't have this issue with my System V/R 4.0.3, along side of DOS. think that they took care of the issue automatically.... -bob
