Funny. I have just begun (and I really mean BEGUN) to work on a NetBios & SMB implementation for *BSD. (I'm on FreeBSD, coz NetBSD wants my 3c503 to be in 0xd0000, and I can't find such a setting on my card.) As we are a LanMan shop, I'm primarily interested in making an SMB client. One question: does anyone (Bob?) know if the various SMB servers (LanMan, Lan Server, Pathworks, etc.) out there implement Xenix extensions? (SMB specs can be found at lanman.gatech.edu, maintained by Bob.) >Some helpful fellow from Belgium was able to point me to a program >in Australia that emulates pathworks enough to work with my stuff. >I'm pleased! May I ask where is this? TIA. Cheers. - PS -- Ng Pheng Siong * ngps@np.ac.sg * npngps@solomon.technet.sg Computer Centre, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore
