The system I work on has serial port driver problems we are running on a 486/50 and have 2 multiport cards connected with 5/soon 6 incoming modems. The first line is a 2400 locked at 2400 and we haev no problems with that, but fi you connect to the high speed modem (zyxel 16k8 locked at 19200) with anything like a 2400 /9600 we get big problems with buffer overflow. ie zmodem downloads get stuffed up unless oyu specify -w 1024 as the option to set the buffer to 1024 characters (-w 2048 works ok too I am told) and doing a long listing like a directory listing on the modem drops makes garbage out of the later characters. We are running 386bsd (latest patches I think). Does anyone have this problem as alot of users are complaining about it and its anoying Is their a updated serial driver or whatever that wil fix this? _Please_ someone help me ______ \/oo\/ .---oOO-\/-OOo------------------------------------------------------------. |Craig Whitmore - craigw@status.gen.nz - Status BBS | | - craigw@mis.status.gen.nz - Midland Internet Services | | - craigw@mserve.kiwi.gen.nz - Advanced Systems | | - craigw@iconz.co.nz - Internet Company of NZ | `-------------------------------------------------------------------------'
