Date: 22 Nov 1993 20:45:16 -0800 Organization: Advanced Computing Systems Company Lines: 21 Message-ID: <2cs4gs$3lh0@cpuserver.acsc.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: cpuserver.acsc.com I will soon (hopefully) have a need for on-demand dialup PPP between my home system and the one at work. I'm aware of Morningstar PPP, which does what I need, but it's too expensive for my personal budget, and doesn't directly support either Free- or NetBSD. I've found the Dialup PPP package, version 2.3, which looks like exactly what I need, but it runs only under SunOS. Has anyone ported, or is anyone currently porting, this package to either FreeBSD or NetBSD? I would prefer FreeBSD, since that's what I run at home, but a NetBSD port would be acceptable, since a port from there to FreeBSD should be fairly simple. If someone has ported the package, great! Is it available yet? If not (as I strongly suspect is the case), and someone is currently involved in porting it, could you contact me? Perhaps we can coordinate our efforts.
