i am having some difficulties setting the modem line for kermit and
tip.
i have a supra v.32bis on com2 (dos). i looked in the /dev directory
and i saw 4 ttys namely, tty01 2 3 and 4.
is tty01 the same as com2 ?
this device has the following permission :
crw-------
and is owned by uucp. the minor major on this device is 28 0.
i set up tip and tried to dial out to a unix system and all i get is a
modem light that goes on for a while and then off. the system then
hangs unril i do ~. to exit tip.
i also set up kermiit and when i do
set line /dev/tty01
the system hangs also, and the modem light remains on.
any idea what's going on here ?
