Message-ID: <1993Nov29.134752.16096@alw.nih.gov> Sender: postman@alw.nih.gov (AMDS Postmaster) Organization: National Institutes of Health, Bethesda Date: Mon, 29 Nov 1993 13:47:52 GMT Lines: 17 Has anyone succeeded with FreeBSD-1.0-Release and XFree86-2.0, using a CompuDyne (from CompUSA) "Truecolor" board with a Cirrus CL-GD 5422 chip? When I run X-->XF86_SVGA -probeonly >& /dev/tty00, I sometimes get a complete list all the way to (--)using 800x600, or it may stop before printing out the clocks. I haven't got xinit (twm, xeyes, oclock, xterms) to stay up more that a few seconds. Crashes the whole system. With 386bsd-0.1+pk2, I was able to run X386mono only. I could sure use some debugging pointers! Chuck Bacon - crtb@helix.nih.gov ABHOR SECRECY - DEFEND PRIVACY -- Chuck Bacon - crtb@helix.nih.gov ( alas, not my 3b1 )-: ABHOR SECRECY - DEFEND PRIVACY
