i downloaded f2c bin package from FreeBSD.cdrom.com and installed it using
pkg_install/add program.

when i compile a fortran program using f77, i dont get an executable
file a.out. instead, i get a file.o program which gives a wronmg
architecture error message when i try to execute it.

also, when i use f2c i do get a file.c c program, but when i try to
compile it, i get some messages complaining about unidentified symbols
or undeclared. one of these errors come from libcrt0.a.

any idea whats wrong ?

the f2c man pages mention a libF77.a and a libI77.a but these are
missing i think.

please help.

thanks
