I have a problem with console logins under my installation of NetBSD. Essentially, I cannot seem to get the system to allow me to give a password (other than "*") to any account. I get the following: channel# id uid=0(root) gid=0(wheel) channel# passwd passwd: unknown user root. The password file seems to be set up correctly, I ran pwd_mkdb and it seemed to do the right things. I don't know, it just makes me kinda uneasy to not be able to give root a password on my firewall. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated (email would be even more appreciated). -coranth ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Coranth Gryphon Karma: You can't take it with you, but you can send it on ahead.
