When using Kermit with the new sio driver in FreeBSD, I have some
problems. When I start Kermit, it hangs until I hit ^C and then it seems
to work properly. I tried recompiling the kernel using the old com driver
but this was even worse; nothinng seemed to work. I was using an old Kermit
from 386bsd 0.1, but uprading to the new Kermit in the FreeBSD packages
distribution didn't help. I have no problem with the sio driver and my mouse.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it Kermit or the driver?
