I read the faq on hanging on boot with 2 IDE drives and suggestions on how to
solve it already. For now, I have swapping turned on for wd1 as well as wd0,
and this seems to work. But, since I consider this a kludge I would like to
get pointed in the right direction for fixing it.

The problem I got was the fsck on boot would hang my machine solid as a rock.
After I took the fsck out and was going to mount by hand it still wasn't
working. I could not fsck the parition either..This would also hang the machine
solid as well. I could howver mount, umount, and then fsck just fine....
Wierd, but true. I also seem to get extra interupts on the controller every so
often. I tracked down in wd.c where it is printing these, and may just turn it
off unless someone can show me a problem with doing this.

Any ideas or pointers?

James
