Any ideas? : > : > Brad C. : Brad, : Well I won't claim to be an expert on the *BSD OSs, but I had the same : problem when I first brought up NetBSD. I had gone in and configured com 0-3 : like I would normally for xenix and linux, IRQ 4 for both com0 and com2 : and IRQ 3 for both com1 and com3. I didn't get my serial ports to work : until I dropped support for com2 and com3. My cheap-o serial cards had : limited IRQ configurations available. It appears the com drivers have : problems supporting multiple com ports on the same IRQ. I could very : well be wrong, but the serial ports on my installation of NetBSD 0.9 : wouldn't work until I unconfigured com3 and com4. The only support I : have for this is that all of the configuration files in the conf dir : have all the com ports on different IRQs and my experience. : If any one knows better, please correct me as I would like all 4 of : my com ports working. This sounds exactly like my problem... lll give it a shot and let everyone know tomorrow! : Good Luck, Thanks I need it. -- -| bcolbert@rucs2.sunlab.cs.runet.edu |------------------------------------ | Where you come from is gone, where you thought you where going to never | | was there, and where you are is no good unless you can get away from it.| | Where is there a place for you to be?
