I don't consider that a reliable count.  For one thing, I never bothered to
send mail to the counter, and I daresay many others either don't know about
it or don't care.  (People who get Slackware from the archive I maintain on
APK or other dialup archives are unlikely to know about it, for instance.)

Not to mention the people who get it via sneakernet...
