I had posted a question here about the problem i had been having setting up
a line printer on my NetBSD box. I thank everyone who replied; now i have
the printer up and running.
Im facing a new problem now:
When i try to print a file on the printer from a remote machine, i get a
message on the NetBSD console: protocol screwup
The remote machine, on doing a lpq shows an active printing job and the
following message:
Warning, no daemon present
The spooled file on the NetBSD machine only shows some numbers, the
name of the remote machine, the file name and the user id (on the remote m/c).
Nothing gets printed and when i try to remove the lp entry i get the
following messages on the remote machine from the NetBSD m/c:
: cannot dequeue XXXX (where XXXX is a number in conjunction with the name of the m/c)
: XXXX dequeued

What am i doing wrong.

thanks
