As for a spreadsheet it shouldn't be too hard to come up with one since we have tcl. We could for instance write an X app with an embeded tcl procedure for handling the expressions in fact it would make a very cool cool spread sheet. A solid word processor is lacking unless someone wants to polish interviews idoc and we could have several choices for paint programs xfig or idraw.
